The Failing Writers Podcast 2nd Annual Writing Competition in association with Scrivener

It must be (about) love.

Yes, it’s that time again…the time for you to get out your pens, quills, keyboards and coffee and start writing (after all, that is what this podcast was supposed to be about).

We want to read your love stories and we want to read them sooooo much we’re offering a first prize of £300 to the best. But it’s not all about the money, oh deary me no. As well as £300 of cold hard cash, the winner will have their story turned into a piece of audio drama by a team of professional voice actors and broadcast on this very podcast.

And even THAT is not all as we’ve teamed up with the lovely people at Scrivener to give away free copies of their amazing writing software as runners-up prizes.

So, what do you have to do to win this amazing prize? Well, I’ll tell you…all you have to do is write a love story. That is, a story with a theme of love.

It doesn’t have to be traditional romantic fiction (although it could be) it just has to be a story that somehow contains the theme of love. It has to be 500 words or less and it has to include a particular phrase.

Just listen to episode 19 of season 2 for a specific word or phrase that you MUST include in the story. To make sure you don’t miss it subscribe to our podcast or sign up to our newsletter. Then email your masterpiece to us at failingwriterspodcast@gmail.com by midday on Monday 19th September.

And that’s it!

Full terms, conditions and entry requirements are below so please make sure you read them first as we wouldn’t want you to miss out on a technicality.

Good luck!

Lots of love
